The 2025 Black Ambition Prize, Black Ambition. *Closing soon!*
The Black Ambition Prize competition provides a platform for underrepresented founders across the nation to access growth capital, coaching, and a curated community of innovators and mentors. Eligible applicants consist of diverse innovators building early-stage ventures across five distinct categories: consumer products and services, healthcare, media and entertainment, technology, and / or AI.

Who can apply: Team must have at least one founding member from such a background, including, but not limited to, backgrounds such as Black/African/African American, Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latinx, LGBTQ, parents with earned income below the poverty level, first-generation immigrants, first-generation college graduates, and those raised by a single parent. Founders from any background traditionally overlooked in venture capital funding may apply regardless of race.

Call for Proposals to Advance Advocacy and Public Discourse Leading to Financial Integrity and Domestic Resource Mobilization, Norad. *Closing soon!*
Norad welcomes applications directed to one or more of the following three objectives: 1. Civil society in developing countries: Civil society in developing countries advances public discourse and solutions for improved domestic resource mobilization, economic justice, transparency and financial integrity. 2. Engagement of civil society from developing countries in global processes: Civil society's representation in and contributions to multilateral forums for public finance and financial integrity have been strengthened, either through directly engaging in multilateral processes, or by championing policy ideas and solutions that are in the interest of developing countries on the topics of tax, domestic resource mobilization, transparency and financial integrity. 3 Capacity of journalists in developing countries: Journalists in developing countries have increased capacity to produce stories and engage in investigative journalism that improve transparency and information regarding financial secrecy and justice (tax, corruption and illicit financial flows).

Call for Social Projects - International Cooperation 2025, Fundación ”la Caixa”. *Closing soon!*
The purpose of this call is to generate opportunities to reduce poverty and contribute to the fight against inequality in the least developed countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America through projects promoted by Spanish NGOs in collaboration with local partners in the recipient countries. Areas of action include: Socioeconomic development, Improved health and Promotion of education and training.

Who can apply: Non-profit entities and social economy entities whose statutes explicitly state among their purposes the promotion of international development cooperation. All applications must include a Spanish partner and a local partner in the implementing countries.

ABH Prize 2025, Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH). *Closing this month!*
ABH is dedicated to identifying, supporting, and inspiring the next generation of African entrepreneurs who are driving impact in their communities, tackling pressing challenges, and building a more sustainable and inclusive economy. As an inclusive initiative, ABH welcomes applications from entrepreneurs across all African countries, sectors, and age groups.

Funding amount: Top 10 finalists share a prize pool of $1.5 million in grants ranging from $100,000 to $300,000. Seeing nominations for visionary environmental leaders working to deliver global impact for the environment. The work of nominees is expected to be based on strong science, including natural and/or social sciences, demonstrate measurable and scalable impact(s) on policy and/or practice, address global inequalities and solutions, and demonstrate engagement with younger generations.

Africa Research Grant, Jennifer Ward Oppenheimer Research Grant. *Closing soon!*
Seeking applications from early career scientist conducting research that demonstrate a strong link to biodiversity and conservation. They are looking for research that: Advances the frontiers of knowledge within the chosen field; Facilitates solutions to African challenges: The research should try and solve an African challenge that occurs in more than one geography and is scalable to other areas. 2025 THRIVE Global Impact Challenge, SVG Ventures. *Closing this month!*
The THRIVE Global Impact Challenge is on a mission to discover the most innovative startups tackling the biggest challenges in agri-food systems. This year, they are seeking groundbreaking solutions across six key themes driving transformation in the agrifood industry: Regenerative Agriculture, Artificial Intelligence & Automation, Animal Health & Nutrition, Clean Energy & Climate Tech, Water & Waste Management, Post Harvest & FoodTech. Three finalists from each of the six themes will be selected to pitch at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit in Silicon Valley, and the winning company will receive the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge Award in addition to investment from SVG Ventures up to $1M USD.

The Call for Solutions is a global innovation challenge for Youth and Youth-led organizations working on climate action focused projects. The Call aims to fund new and existing youth-led solutions that are ready to implement or scale, and to support the further development of young people's ideas and projects by providing relevant learning opportunities with the support of partners.
Geographies: Global.
Who can apply: Young Individuals aged 18 to 29 and legally registered, youth-led CSOs, NGOs, CBO’s, or company with the majority of the organization’s leadership between the ages of 18-29 at the time of submitting the application.
Funding amount: Up to $30,000 in seed-funding per solution, as well as additional benefits and support. Around 50 solutions selected annually.

Gender Equality & Women Empowerment
Hack Everything, Fondo Lunaria. *Closing soon!*
Fondo Lunaria is a feminist fund that mobilizes financial resources to dignify and strengthen the collective processes of diverse women and young trans people working to defend, demand, and enjoy their rights. They seek to promote and protect a democratic and inclusive digital space by eradicating technology-enabled gender-based violence (TEGBV) affecting women, girls, and people of color in the region.
Geographies: Colombia.
Who can apply: All groups or organizations of young, feminist, grassroots, rural, Afro-Colombian, Indigenous, Roma, urban, or functionally diverse women and trans people (aged 16-29) working for the rights of women and trans people from any region in Colombia are invited to participate. All proposals must be coordinated and led by young women and/or trans people (ages 16-29) and may be targeted at any population.
Funding amount: Each proposal, upon funding, must have a budget of 20 billion Colombian pesos, to be implemented within a maximum of six months during 2025, following its approval. This call will support 25 initiatives from organizations and/or collectives (with or without legal status) of women and/or young trans people from across the country.

Women's Mental Health, AÉSIO Foundation. *Closing soon!*
The objective of our call for projects is to support initiatives that meet the specific needs of adolescent girls and/or women affected by one or more mental health disorders : exclusively female, or whose prevalence is significantly higher among women, or resulting from trauma or situations that mainly affect women. These projects must offer free multidisciplinary support specifically designed to improve the mental health of adolescent girls and/or women.

Call for proposals to prevent and combat gender-based violence and violence against children, Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV), European Commission. *Closing soon!*
This call supports the following priorities: 1. Large-scale and long-term actions on tackling gender-based violence, with regranting (giving financial support to third party CSOs), 2. Targeted actions for the protection of and support for victims and survivors of gender-based violence and domestic violence (such as setting up one-stop shops, or coordinated specialist support centers, conducting training, 3. Targeted actions for the prevention of gender-based violence, including cyber violence, and 4. Targeted actions making integrated child protection systems work in practice. Activities that can be funded include: awareness-raising, capacity building and training for professionals and relevant stakeholders, design and implementation of strategies, protocols, development of transferable working methods and tools, coordination of platforms and groups; design of services and measures improving access to victim support services and development of guidelines and manuals for these support services • development of resources, toolkits and manuals to provide practical guidance for specialized support services; analytical activities, such as research, best practices, and the creation and implementation of tools or data bases/data collection strategies and systems.

Strengthening resilience by empowering women and girls in areas affected by the Sudanese conflict, Agence Française de Développement - AFD. *Closing soon!*
The AFD is launching a call for proposals to support the resilience of areas and populations affected by forced displacements due to the conflict in Sudan, by ensuring that women and girls, particularly affected by the consequences of the conflict, are central drivers to foster resilience and prevent conflicts.
Geographies: Sudan, South Sudan and Ethiopia. The proposal should target at least two of these countries.
Who can apply: Consortium of International non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and other international or local non-profit organizations. The consortium should include one lead INGO and at least one national or regional CSO/NGO.

The Mark Foundation Emerging Leader Awards support innovative cancer research from the next generation of leaders. These grants are awarded to outstanding early career investigators to support high-impact, high-risk projects that are distinct from their current research portfolio.
Geographies: US and Canada.
Who can apply: MD, PhD, or equivalent is required, applicants must be three to eight years from the start of an independent faculty appointment and must be employed by a U.S. or Canadian non-profit academic institution.

Improving Climate and Health Policy-making through Applied Systems Thinking, The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research. *Closing soon!*
The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research is inviting proposals with the objective to apply participatory systems thinking methods to improve national climate and health policy processes. This call seeks to support a total of two research teams across selected countries to apply underused systems thinking methods to enhance national planning and decision-making in climate and health policy processes. Proposals should include applying systems mapping and analysis, conducting structured participatory workshops, engaging in Alliance learning activities, demonstrate pathways toward policy impact.

The fund seeks to support organizations developing innovative solutions to address climate and health challenges in Asia. Specifically, they encourage organizations that work in the following impact areas within the climate x health nexus to apply: surveillance and management of climate-sensitive infectious diseases (CSID), and solutions to reduce heat stress and innovations in stable products.

Global Development Awards Competition 2025: Digital Transformation for Universal Health Coverage, Global Development Network. *New!*
The Global Development Awards Competition (GDAC) is GDN’s largest and longest-running program that brings together a rich community of researchers and development practitioners. It is an award scheme that: Identifies talent and supports the career advancement of researchers in the Global South, and funds innovative social development projects implemented by NGOs that benefit marginalized groups in the developing world. This years theme is Digital Transformation for Universal Health Coverage. Digital health is a cultural transformation of traditional healthcare with two awards are available:
The Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development (ORD) invites social science researchers based in LMICs to put forward proposals that focus on building the empirical evidence and the actionable knowledge capable of transforming the pursuit of universal health coverage through digital solutions. Research should illuminate how digital solutions impact the pursuit of universal health access across low- and middle-income countries.
The Japanese Award for Most Innovative Development Project (MIDP) invites non-profit Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from LMICs with existing (i.e. ongoing) projects engaged in the development, implementation or evaluation of digital solutions in support of universal healthcare delivery in underserved areas to submit applications.

Humanitarian Aid and Emergency Programming
Integrated and Sustainable Humanitarian Projects in the Central Sahel and Lake Chad Basin, Sahel Regional Fund. *Closing soon!*
Projects proposed for SRF funding must align closely with its strategic objectives and address key priorities in an integrated, coherent manner. They should respond to urgent humanitarian needs while contributing to the long-term resilience of vulnerable populations—particularly by strengthening economic resilience. The preferred implementation modality is multi-purpose, unconditional cash transfers, and all proposals must include integrated, multi-sectoral interventions. These should combine complementary sectors such as food security, health, nutrition, protection, and/or WASH, tailored to local priorities through territorial and people-centered approaches. Where relevant, projects should also present a cross-border dimension, reflecting regional dynamics and the mobility of crisis-affected populations. Strong, sustainable local leadership is essential: local partners must play a central role in decision-making, strategy, design, and implementation. A clear commitment to accountability is required, including transparent processes, community participation, and accessible feedback and complaints mechanisms. Finally, projects must demonstrate tangible, measurable impact, with robust monitoring and a clear plan for documenting and sharing lessons learned.
Geographies: Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Chad (Lake Province/Province du Lac only) and Niger.
Who can apply: Open exclusively to consortia, led by an international NGO or a Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement organization. Each consortium must include at least one local NGO, meaningfully involved in project design and implementation. It is strongly recommended that the local partner manage at least 25% of the project budget.
Funding amount: Grants range £1M - £4M per project. Projects should last between 12 and 24 months. The total indicative budget available for this call is £12.5M.

Debris Removal Transportation and Recycling Programme in Palestine, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). *New!* *Closing soon!*
The project aims to address and mitigate the severe impacts of the debris crisis in the Gaza Strip as part of an integrated humanitarian response. By implementing a risk-managed approach to debris removal and recycling, the project will help prevent further catastrophic public health and environmental consequences.

3rd Call for Proposals: Capitalization of “Flood Protection”, INTERREG Greece-Bulgaria. *Closing soon!*
Through the present Call, the Programme will support cross border cooperation to enhance capacities for an effective climate resilience and adaptation. As climatic phenomena and effects do not know borders, the main aim of the Targeted Project is to enhance through cooperation a territorial integrated approach. Cooperation fields can include both managerial (including information exchange and security plans) and infrastructure actions. Racial Equity Research Grants, Spencer Foundation. *Closing soon!*
The Racial Equity Research Grants program supports education research projects that will contribute to understanding and ameliorating racial inequality in education. They are interested in funding studies that aim to understand and disrupt the reproduction and deepening of inequality in education, and which seek to (re)imagine and make new forms of equitable education. They are accepting applications from research projects that seek to envision educational opportunities in a multiplicity of education systems, levels, settings, and developmental ranges and that reach beyond documenting conditions and paradigms that contribute to persistent racial inequalities. The goal of this program is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious, and technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions and compelling opportunities in relation to racial equity in education. In this cycle of funding, they will continue to fund scholarship focused on a range of communities and issues with respect to equity. They encourage proposals from across the methodological spectrum, including qualitative methods, mixed-methods, and quantitative methods. They especially encourage Racial Equity proposals that focus on the following areas: (1) innovative forms of measurement and assessment, (2) artificial intelligence (AI), and (3) current political challenges in k-12 and higher education around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

These grants are available for Human Rights Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) aim to maximize the attention toward the situation of minorities and marginalized communities in the target countries, and that want to invest in their organizational development, organizational infrastructures or to effectively develop their institutional capacity.

The Mobilize Power Fund is a rapid response fund that resources gender justice organizations to adapt or pivot their work when met with unanticipated, time-sensitive opportunities or threats to their movement building work and organizing conditions. The Fund prioritizes organizations that are responding to specific incidents or changes of circumstances that have occurred in the last six months. This can include rapid response mobilizations, healing justice work, conflict resolution/conflict transformation, community accountability, mutual aid, direct actions, emergency safety, security, and defense needs, and more. This fund prioritizes groups and organizations who are experiencing an unanticipated incident. Because of this, organizations applying on behalf of a budget shortfall or preplanned events or ongoing programming will not be prioritized.
Geographies: United States and U.S. territories, including American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Who can apply: Organizations that are led by young women of color (transgender and cisgender), and trans, queer, gender non conforming and intersex young people of color under 35, led by and for communities directly impacted by the issues they focus on, have an intersectional gender justice lens, and have a total organizational budget under $500k. Groups do not need 501c3 of fiscal sponsor status to apply.
Funding amount: Grants can be made for up to $10,000 USD. Partnership or coalitions of two or more groups can request up to $20,000 USD.
Targeted Sectors/ SDGs: Participatory Action Research, healing justice work, conflict mediation/resolution, legal or bail fees, marches or rallies, leadership training & skills building, mutual aid, and unanticipated legislative or ballot initiative campaigns.

Seeking to fund innovative projects that break barriers, empower people, and create real opportunities for women, youth, and children in disadvantaged situations, fostering long-term, sustainable change. They are looking for programs that advance equality and create new opportunities through:1. Social and economic inclusion, helping disadvantaged women, youth and people with a migrant background break barriers to employment, participate fully in society, and achieve financial independence. 2. Empowerment and skills development, reducing educational inequality by providing access to high-quality training, soft skills development, and learning opportunities for personal growth. 3. Innovation: propose uncommon solutions through new, unexplored, and out-of-the-box initiatives with a bold approach and vision that support social sustainability and the fight against inequality, with particular attention to women, youth, and people with a migratory background.

Who can apply: Nonprofit organizations that are formally registered and based in Italy, the USA, or the UK.
Funding amount: Grant of up to €100,000, organization must provide 30% co-financing.

The THRIVE Global Impact Challenge is on a mission to discover the most innovative startups tackling the biggest challenges in agri-food systems.
